Rayna helps people to develop a greater understanding of their horses' needs and how to support them to become more confident, dependable, thinking partners.  She helps prepare horses for a successful life with humans from halter breaking and ground manners, through the first saddling and ride, to more advanced and refined levels.  Depending on the individual's goals, Rayna works with riders of all ages and skill levels to develop and hone those skills on the ground and in the saddle.

Training includes (depending on the needs of the horse and owner) handling the feet, hobbling, trailer loading, bridling, and mounted work both in the arena and out on the trail, 5 days per week, about 1 & 1/2 hrs daily. One of these days (each week) includes the owner either observing or hands on, preparing to take the horse home and continue the progress there.

If your horse has already been started but has just been sitting in the pasture and needs to get back in the swing again or you need a boost to get yourself back in the saddle, this is a great way to get re-connected with your horse.

Maybe your horse is doing pretty well for you under saddle but you would like to advance your skills and your understanding to the next level. Rayna can set you up by preparing your horse for the refined partnership you desire and help you along the way through demonstrating and hands on exercises, both mounted and on the ground.

Lessons and coaching are provided at Misty Valley Farm or at the student's location. Gentle horses are available for all ages and skill levels.
